CBRW’S HOST:
Black Business Owners Corp.(BBOC) was founded in November 2014 and has built a strong relationship with business owners, partners, sponsors, and the local community in Charlotte, North Carolina. Black Business Owners of Charlotte(BBOCLT), is BBOC’s Charlotte Chapter & Headquarters, Launching BBOC’s year of installment. BBOCLT is comprised of over 4300 official members and facilitates an online Marketplace that has over 26,000 members (95% local). Our Mission is to “Empower Black-owned businesses and underserved communities through proven business development & civic engagement; strategies, events, and programming to establish & sustain economic impact.”
CBRW’S HISTORY:
Charlotte Black Restaurant Week™ (CBRW) launched in 2017 with the goal of driving business to local Black-owned restaurants and the week-long event surpassed all expectations! The event showcased 24 Black-owned restaurants, over 40,000 patrons visited restaurants and attended signature events, and the event was featured in over 75 articles (both locally and nationwide), while reaching over
2 million people on Facebook. CBRW had a major economic impact, circulating $750,000 back into the pockets of hardworking Black-Owned Restaurants and the Charlotte economy. (Learn more about CBRW’s Economic Impact by visiting www.bboclt.com)
